Ajibike Eunice Akin-Ponnle. Is Researcher in Instituto de Telecomunicações Campus Universitário de Santiago, Professional in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc. IEEE; Ambassador of IEEE MTT-S; Member IEEE- Young Professionals; Volunteer IEEE- Smart Village; and IEEE- IoT Sensors Advisory Committee. She was an Invited Speaker during the WIE Session of first IEEE International Microwave and Antennas Symposium (IMAS), Cairo, Egypt, 2023. Professional in Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, Professional in Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE. She worked briefly at Shokei Gakuin University, Yurigaoka, Miyagi, Japan as a Lecturer between 2010 and 2011. She worked as a Research Engineer between 2012 and 2017, and later as a Senior Lecturer at the Engineering Materials Development Institute (EMDI); an arm of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, and at Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Nigeria, respectively. She was involved in many research and development activities of EMDI-NASENI; where the World Bank Centre of Excellence was situated. She had hands-on exposure to many state-of-the-art facilities for nanotechnology and renewable energy. She has been a Researcher with the Institute of Telecommunications, University of Aveiro since 2021. She is a smart city advocate and sustainability enthusiast; with working experiences in, Academia; Research Institution; Government; and Industries, spanning across different Continents. Her research interests include, energy harvesting; IoT; B5G & 6G networks; smart cities automation; ecological sustainability; micro/nano electromechanical (MEMS/NEMS) devices/sensors; and instrumentation. She has authored many journal articles on ‘Energy Harvesting’ particularly in the aspect of smart city development and environmental sustainability. Published 8 articles in journals. Works in the area(s) of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Electrotechnical Engineering, Electronics and Informatics with emphasis on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Nano-technology with emphasis on Nano-materials and Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Electrotechnical Engineering, Electronics and Informatics with emphasis on Communication Engineering and Systems.
